In order to promote theoretical study program on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, CELAJ held seminar on "Civilizational Implication of Chinese Modernization" on June 20. Professor Cheng Meidong, director of the Institute of Marxism in China of Marxism School of Peking University, made a special report. 

Mei Liming, executive vice president of CELAJ, said in his speech that Chinese-style modernization embodies hard exploration and wisdom of the Party and people, and is a road suitable for China's national conditions to enforce the country and enrich the people, which the Party and people have found through hard working.

Cheng Meidong elaborated the civilizational implication of Chinese modernization from the basic content of modernization, China's modernization process, the global modernization process, the modernization dilemma, the new form of human civilization, and the uniqueness of the Chinese modernization road, and emphasized thinking about "Chinese modernization" from a global perspective, demonstrating confidence in the path and history.

Participants agreed that the seminar focused on the theme of Chinese-style modernization, reflected the responsibility of speaking politics with academic view, and further promoted theoretical study program. We will deeply understand the implication of Chinese-style modernization, and constantly promote work of cadre education and training to a new level with practical actions.
