CELAJ jointly held an academic meeting with Nanchang University (NCU) on Prompting high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas on Aug. 26 at CELAJ. Mei Liming, the Managing Vice President of CELAJ made a speech at the opening ceremony. Ge Gang, the vice president of NCU, made a key-note speech at the meeting. The executive vice mayor of Ganzhou Hu Jianfei, the executive vice mayor of Ji’an city Wang Dasheng spoekd at the meeting respectively; the vice president of CELAJ Kuang Sheng presided over the opening ceremony; the Vice President of CELAJ Ke Hua made a conclusion speech; Member of the academy council and director of the department of International Exchange and Program Developing Xiao Huaxiao presided over the conclusion ceremony.

Experts and scholars from Party School of CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance), Chinese Academy of Social Science, Academy of Social Science in Hainan province, Party School of Fujian Provincial party committee, Central South University, NCU, Ruijing cadre academy, journalists form Xinhua Net, Guangming Daily, Ji’an TV, and some staff members of the academy attended the meeting. The meeting received 108 papers, and 28 experts and scholars shared their papers at the meeting.

Mei Liming reviewed the measures and achievements on economy building in Jingangshan revolutionary period, and expounded the historical achievement and changes of the old revolutionary base areas in his speech. The great achievement is based on the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We must uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership; take the practice of high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas as precious resources and cases for cadre training; maintain inheriting the red gene; and write new chapter of high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas.

NCU will continuously take advantage of the red resources and the green development practice, the theoretical exploration of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and endeavor to develop Marxism in Contemporary China to a new level, Ge Gang said. He made a key-note speech on innovation-driven green development---building beautiful Jiangxi province.

Hu Jianfei introduced the practice and achievement of the economy development of the south of Jiangxi province, experience and innovation, and high-quality development demonstration zone in Ganzhou old revolutionary base areas. 

Wang Dasheng introduced the practice and achievement of the economy development of Ji’an city, the experience and innovation, and the orientation and vision of Ji’an city development in the new era.

The participants shared and exchanged ideas and thoughts on the development of the old revolutionary base areas on the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

After the meeting, CELAJ organized the participants to two villages of Jinggangshan to conduct research on the rural revitalization.

Many new innovative opinions and ideas on the high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas were set forth at the meeting. It was agreed that prompting high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas is the embodiment of studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The meeting provided ideas and measures of pushing forward the high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas. The participants voiced that they would transform the achievement of the meeting into precious theoretical resources and practical material, and further improve teaching and research capabilities, make contribution to accelerate high-quality development of the old revolutionary base areas.
