On February 22, CELAJ leadership held the annual meeting of criticism and self-criticism. The meeting was presided over by Mei Liming, vice president of CELAJ in charge of daily routine work.

The meeting was guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and themed on deep understanding of the decisive significance of the “two affirmations”, strengthening the “four consciousnesses,” bolstering the “four confidences,” and ensuring the “two upholds”. The participants should carefully examine problems in light of actual work, seriously carry out criticism and self-criticism, and further unify thoughts and actions into the spirit of Party’s 20th National Congress. 

The leadership attached great importance to the meeting. Before the meeting, they carried out theoretical group learning and individual study, widely solicited opinions and suggestions by issuing consultation forms and holding symposiums, held conversations with other Party members. On this basis, the members of group made personal inspection. 

At the meeting, Mei Liming briefed the leadership of academy on the implementation of rectification measures. On behalf the leadership, he conducted an inspection. Other members spoke one by one, conducted criticism and self-criticism. 

In conclusion, Mei said that, this year is the first year for comprehensively implementing the Party’s 20th National Congress spirit, and a year for striving after the optimization and adjustment of the epidemic prevention and control policy. The leadership must take the lead in upholding Xi Jinping’s core position on the CPC Central Committee and in studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
