China Executive Leadership Academy, Jinggangshan (CELAJ) is a national-level cadre education and training institution established by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Jinggangshan, known as the “cradle of Chinese revolution”, which offers education and training in the field of CPC history, Party spirit, and professional competence for Party and government officials, enterprise managers, specialists and military officers. CELAJ is funded by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and supervised by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee assists in management and the academy council is in charge of the daily activities. Comrade Chen Xi serves concurrently as the president of the academy, while deputy secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee serves as the first vice president. The daily operations of the academy council are presided over by the executive vice president. CELAJ adheres to the fundamental principle that "the Party school belongs to the Party," remaining true to its original mission of "cultivating talent for the Party and providing policy advice to the Party." Centered on its core mission and serving the overall situation, it places a strong emphasis on thoroughly studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its central theme. It prioritizes delivering essential courses and makes unremitting efforts to strengthen cohesion and forge the Party's soul with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Focusing on deeply understanding the decisive significance of the "Two Establishments," it strives to enhance the "Four Consciousnesses," strengthen the "Four Confidences," and achieve the "Two Upholds." It also strengthens political training and integrates Party spirit education throughout the entire process of education and training. In line with the new requirements for cadres' capabilities and qualities in the new era, it enhances training in professional competence, comprehensively improves cadres' capabilities for modernization, and makes contributions to providing high-quality education and training for cadres and serving the development of the Party and national undertakings at a high level.   The construction of the campus started on June 20, 2003, and put into use in March 2005. As required by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, CELAJ plays the role of building up itself into a base for revolutionary tradition education and basic national condition education for stimulating Party cadres to keep their revolutionary fervor; into a furnace for raising the overall quality and abilities of the leadership and into a window for international exchange and cooperation, by following the principles of seeking truth from facts, keeping pace with the times, hardworking and exercising governance for the people.  The campus covers 44 acres, with a floor space of 60,000 square meters and a total accommodation capacity of 500 trainees. CELAJ adheres to distinctive development, long-term development, and high-quality development. It makes full use of the unique red resources of Jinggangshan and its surrounding areas, as well as the vivid practices of revitalizing revolutionary base areas in the new era, to build a specialized curriculum system centered on courses of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Party spirit education, and professional competence enhancement. CELAJ employs a teaching approach that primarily focuses on thematic teaching and on-site teaching, while integrating diverse methodologies such as lectures, case studies, seminar-style discussions, interviews, experiential learning, and situational simulations. This forms a unique Jinggang teaching system. It has also developed a specialized teaching material system that combines basic textbooks, case studies, audiovisual materials, and supplementary resources to support comprehensive learning. Additionally, it has established a distinctive training management system characterized by full-cycle management, process management, and trainee self-management. By focusing on these innovative practices, the academy aims to build a renowned "Jinggang Brand" in cadre education and training, striving to play a demonstration and leading role as a national-level institution for cadre education and training. CELAJ has established various functional departments, including General Office, Department of Teaching Affairs, Department of Training, Department of International Exchange and Training Development, Department of Teaching and Science Research (Case Development Center), Department of Human Resources (Party Committee of the Institution), as well as teaching and research centers. Since its operation, CELAJ has successfully held more than 2,400 training sessions of various types, training over 123,000 participants.

A delegation of CELAJ led by the vice president of CELAJ Ke Hua visited Canada and America to conduct cadre training exchanges.During the trip, the delegation successively visited Schulich School of Business, York University, Harvard Business School, Georgetown University and Hoover Institution, Stanford University. The delegation introduced CELAJ, its training features and training achievements to them. Meanwhile, the delegation exchanged ideas on international cooperation, academic research and the exploration of historical files with them.The delegation also paid a visit to MS Zhao Jiangpin, the Chinese consul general in Montreal, who participated in the training program in 2012 at CELAJ, and learned the work situation of diplomatic staff abroad and their training needs.

On May 31, at the invitation of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a delegation of youth cadres from "Shaping the Shared Future" Young African Political Leaders, from Namibia, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe visited CELAJ.
