The theoretical learning center group of the academy council held the 1st group study session in 2023 on Feb. 21. The study session was presided over by the Executive Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming. Member of the academy council and director of the department of International Exchange and Program developing, Xiao Huaxiao made a key-note speech and all the other members of the learning center group participated in the session and exchanged views. The directors and deputy directors of the departments of the academy were present.

The Constitution of the Party, Resolution of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on the Revised Constitution of the CPC, General Secretary of CPCCC Xi Jinping’s important speeches, delivered at the 1st plenary session of the 20th CPCCC, meeting themed on criticism and self-criticism of CPCCC, the opening ceremony of seminar on learning and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC were leaned and discussed at the study session. Relevant notifications from General Office of the CPCCC, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, the organization department of CPCCC, Party committee and government of Jiangxi province, commission for discipline inspection of Jiangxi Party committee were conveyed at the session. An education video themed on the violation of party rules and disciplines and repentance was watched.

The participants voiced the need of deep study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC, precise grasp the Chinese features, essential requirement, and major principles of Chinese modernization, and the handling of key relationships in advancing Chinese modernization, the important proposal of carrying out great struggle, the decisive significance of the establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, enhancing our confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and resolutely upholding Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Central Committee’ authority and its centralized, unified leadership. It was urged at the session to develop a good grasp of the great significance of the amendment of the Constitution of the Party on the 20th National Congress of CPC, keeping learning the Party Constitution, integrate the learning and implementation of party constitution with the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC, as well as the guiding principles of important speeches of General Secretary of CPCCC Xi Jinping. The spiritual essence and theme requirement of the criticism and self-criticism were highlighted for the solid achievement of conducing criticism and self-criticism among the academy councils. The session stressed the consciousness of Party Constitution, implementation of the guiding principles of Party constitution and the 20th National Congress of CPC into teaching and scientific research, administration, and logistics and every aspect of the work, and the transformation of learning achievement into impetus of prompting high-quality development of the academy.
