The theoretical learning committee of the academy council held a learning session to study the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC on Oct. 29. The learning session consisted of group study, discussion, and themed lecture. The session was presided over by the Executive Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming. Member of the academy council, and director of the General Office of CELAJ Cheng Jisheng made a key-note speech. All the members of the learning committee shared their thoughts at the session. Directors and deputy directors of the departments of the academy were present.

It was unanimously agreed that the 20th National Congress of CPC uphold the banner, unite strength, strive in unity, has achieved fruitful political, theoretical, and practical achievement. It is of tremendous practical and profound historical importance in inspiring the Party and the nation in staying confident and building strength, upholding fundamental principles, and breaking new ground, forging ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and striving in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

We should take the learning, publicity and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC as the primary political task currently and certain period afterwards, prompt the participants of the seminars of the academy and the teaching staff to have a deep grasp of the decisive significance of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen our consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership, enhance our confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, resolutely uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Central Committee’ authority and its centralized, unified leadership, achieve unity in thinking, and action with  the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC, and show our loyalty to the party with tangible actions. We should take the lead in leaning and the publicity of the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC, have a precise grasp of the innovative thoughts, opinions and statements set forth in the 20th National Congress of CPC, take deep researchinto the reasoning, academical theory and philosophical theory.  We should implement what we have learned and take the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC into guidance of our action and great strength in advancing our work. We should take learning the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC as a compulsory course for the cadres of the academy, prompt it into every aspects of our work, instill it into textbooks, into lecture, into brain, into developing new course, the group preparation of course, theory research and explanation, publicity, show it in the work of promoting high-quality development of cadre training , make our contribution in building a modern socialist country in all respects and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

After the group learning and discussion, the learning group attended an online lecture themed learning and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of CPC delivered by the professor Chen Shuguang, with the Central Party School of CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance).
