Carry forward the great Long March spirit and walk the Long March in the new era
On November 17, in order to remember the great achievements of the Red Army, carry forward the spirit of the Great Long March, and deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, Jiangxi Normal University, Shandong Youth Political College and CELAJ jointly held an academic seminar on "Carrying forward the spirit of the Great Long March and walking the Long March Road in the New Era - Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Red Army's Long March" at CELAJ.
Experts and scholars from party schools, executive leadership academy, institutions of higher education, and scientific research institutions across the country, as well as reporters from Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, and Study Times, gathered together to exchange views. The seminar received more than 260 academic papers, 50 of which were included, and 39 were exchanged at the conference.
Chen Jin, former member of the Institute of Party History and Documentation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivered a keynote speech. With the title of "Several Outstanding Issues in Deepening the Study of the Long March Spirit in the New Era", Chen Jin proposed to combine the five connotations of the "Long March Spirit" with the status and role of the "Four Great Expeditions", establish the concept of the "Great Long March" to carry out research on the Long March spirit.
Zhang Peng, executive vice president of CELAJ, extended a warm welcome to the participants. He said that the purpose of gathering at CELAJ to conduct this seminar is to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, review General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the spirit of the Long March and the spirit of the important speeches made during his two visits in Jiangxi, review the history of the long march of suffering and glory, carry forward the spirit of the great long march, and provide inexhaustible spiritual motivation for walking the long march in the new era. We study the history of the Long March and carry forward the spirit of the Long March, which is to carry forward the past and walk the Long March in the new era, do a good job in what we are doing today, carry forward and inherit the revolutionary spirit and noble demeanor of the older generation of revolutionaries, and study the history of the Long March, tell the story of the Long March, and carry forward the spirit of the Long March.
It is necessary to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the spirit of the Long March, fully explore and make good use of the red resources of the Long March, and in-depth create a unique curriculum that showcases the historical facts of the Long March, highlights the spirit of the Long March, and reflects the requirements of the new era. Efforts should be made to build a high ground for inheriting the red gene and promoting the spirit of the Great Long March.
Liu Limin, vice president of Jiangxi Normal University, said in his speech that we should draw wisdom and strength from the great Long March spirit, have the courage to take responsibility, dare to innovate, continue to forge ahead in various fields such as economy, politics, culture, society, ecology, etc., and walk the Long March Road of the new era with a more vigorous and promising mental state.
Chen Longxi, vice president of Shandong Youth Political University, said that he would take this opportunity to carefully study and summarize the innovative ideas of the seminar, and join hands with everyone to jointly explore new ideas, and measures for the study of red culture in the new era and the inheritance and promotion of red genes, so as to make new contributions to the education of the party and country.
In the parallel forum of the seminar, the participating experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on "Research on the History of the Red Army's Long March", "Carrying forward the Great Long March Spirit", and "Walking the Long March Road in the New Era".
