On the afternoon of December 4, CELAJ held a meeting of the Leading Group for Building a Safe Academy. The meeting conveyed and studied the important instructions given by President Xi Jinping regarding the incident in Zhuhai, Guangdong, where a car drove into pedestrians, as well as the relevant documents from General Office of the CPC Central Committee and General Office of the state council. It also communicated the speech delivered by Luo Xiaoyun, Secretary of the Provincial Political and Legal Affairs Committee, at the provincial training seminar on enhancing the ability to build a safe society, and deployed a special governance campaign to "resolve conflicts and risks, and maintain safety and stability." Members of the Leading Group for Building a Safe Academy participated in the meeting, and relevant colleagues from the Office of the Leading Group for Building a Safe Academy and responsible staff from the General Office also attended.

The meeting emphasized that all departments and Logistics-Socialized Units at the academy must improve their awareness, take responsibility for the safety of their areas, and actively shoulder the responsibility for building a safe environment. They must immediately report any identified conflicts, disputes, and safety hazards. The academy’s safety office must bear in mind its mission and fully perform its duties in overall coordination, organization, and supervision. All faculty and staff should maintain a strong sense of responsibility for school safety, with the mindset that everyone is a safety officer, and take their personal safety duties seriously with an unwavering political responsibility.
