On May 16, The Party School of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (National Academy of Governance) held an opening ceremony for the second study program of the 2024 spring semester. 

Chen Xi attended and delivered a speech, emphasizing the need to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishment", strengthen the "four consciousness", strengthen the "four self-confidence", and achieve "two maintenance", forge ahead, work hard, and make unremitting efforts for the Chinese path to modernization to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.

Chen Xi pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the Chinese path to modernization is extensive and profound, rich in connotation, and contains strong truth power and practical power. It is a theoretical summary of the practical experience of our Party's leadership in modernization. It has made original contribution to enriching and developing Marxist modernization theory and provided scientific guidance for correctly understanding and vigorously promoting the Chinese path to modernization. Cadres must study in depth, integrate their skills, comprehensively enhance their political capabilities, leadership capabilities, and work capabilities that are compatible with advancing the Chinese path to modernization, unswervingly promote high-quality development, promote comprehensive deepening of reform and in-depth development.

After the opening ceremony, the academy council immediately studied the spirit of Chen Xi’s speech; all cadres training in academy and faculty members studied seriously in groups and Party branches.
