On May 16, CELAJ Council held its 9th meeting in 2024 to convey and learn the spirit of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s important speeches during his inspection in Chongqing, the important speech when presiding over the symposium on promoting the development of the western region in the new era, and the important instructions for the construction of the school's ideological and political courses. Ke Hua, vice president of CELAJ, presided over the meeting, academy members Cheng Jisheng and Xiao Huaxiao attended.

The meeting held that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s important speech during the inspection in Chongqing and the important speech of the symposium on promoting the development of the western region in the new era, focusing on the Chinese path to modernization to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation, to better serve us and integrate into the new development pattern, and to promote high-quality development pointed out the direction of progress; Chinese President  Xi Jinping's important instructions on the construction of school ideological and political courses, from the strategic height of ensuring the Party's cause and the construction of a modern socialist country, comprehensively summarized the achievements of school ideological and political courses since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and put forward ardent hopes.

  The meeting called for in-depth study and understanding of Chinese President Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions, firmly grasp the Chinese path to modernization, and actively integrate into the new development pattern; be honest and innovative, pay close attention to implementation, and promote the high-quality development of the academy; to put the construction of ideological and political courses on the important agenda, with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guide, constantly improve the quality of the curriculum, and strive to cultivate more cadres that reassure the Party and satisfy the people.
