The academy council conveyed and leaned the guiding principles of General Secretary of CPCCC Xi Jinping's important instructions on Party building and organizational work, as well as the instruction on the barbecue restaurant explosion in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The meeting was presided over by the Managing Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming. The Vice President of CELAJ Kuang Sheng, the Vice President of CELAJ Ke Hua, and the Vice President of CELAJ and first-Class Counsel Wang Jianxin, member of the academy council and director of General Office Cheng Jisheng attended the meeting. Directors of departments of the academy were present.

The participants noted that Xi Jinping’s important instructions on party building and organizational work pointed the way forward for carrying out the Party building and organizational work. Xi's important thought on Party building highlights the Party's full and rigorous self-governance, and has greatly enriched and developed the Marxist theory of Party building. Xi’s important instruction on the barbecue restaurant explosion embodied deep feeling for the people and strong consciousness of hazard, and bottom-line thought. The accident was educational and we should be alert to hazards.

It was required at the meeting that the faculty should firmly uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership, apply the comprehensive requirement on party building and organizational work in the new era; optimize the selection, cultivation, management and usage of cadres; further efforts should be made to cultivate, absorb, make full use of the talents; and integrate the education campaign with the innovative theory of the party. We should draw lessons from the accident; have a clear mind of the situation and task of safety work; never relax on safe production; find out the potential safety hazards in traffic, food, gas, electricity, fire, flood, and ensure no accidents in the academy.
