The Academy Council held the 17th meeting in 2023 on Dec. 24 to convey the guiding principles of Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered at the Central Economic Work Conference. The meeting was presided over the Managing Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming. The Vice President of CELAJ and first-Class Counsel Kuang Sheng, the Vice President of CELAJ Ke Hua, and member of the Academy Council Cheng Jisheng, and member of the Academy Council Xiao Huaxiao attended the meeting. The directors of the departments of the academy were present.
It was noted at the meeting that Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, reviewed the country's economic work in 2023, analyzed the current economic situation and arranged next year's economic work.
The meeting called for conscientiously studying and developing a good grasp of the guiding principles of Xi Jinping’ s speech, taking advancing Chinese modernization as the biggest politics, focusing on the primary task of economic development and high-quality development, and making great effort to publicize Xi Jinping Economic Thought, so as to make contribution in the new chapter of high-quality development and Chinese modernization.
