On the afternoon of May 25th, CELAJ concluded the reading seminar themed on learning and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The Managing Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming presided over and addressed the meeting. The Vice President of CELAJ Kuang Sheng, the Vice President of CELAJ Ke Hua, the Vice President of CELAJ and First-Class Counsel Wang Jianxin, member of the academy council and director of the General Office of CELAJ Cheng Jisheng, member of the academy council and director of the Department of International Exchange and Program Development, CELAJ Xiao Huaxiao attended and spoke at the meeting. All the party members and cadres of the academy participated in the meeting. 

Upholding the guidance of scientific theory, and arm with scientific theory is a political advantage of our party, and provides fundamental guarantee for our party achieving great undertakings, Mei said. It is essential to have a precise grasp of the scientific system and develop a good grasp of the essence to enhance cohesion and forging the Party’s soul with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We should transform the worldview and methodology underlying in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into our thought arms, and use the innovative theory of the party to change the subjective world and objective world, Mei Liming said.

Our understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is deepened after the reading session, Mei said. The learning seminar had vivid theme, focused on politics, tailored for our needs, and integrated learning and practice, which made the learning session highly effective. The remarkable achievement of the reading session lied in the delicate instruction of the 9th provincial inspection team and all the party members and cadres giving full play to their roles, who integrated routine work and the education campaign, obey the learning rules, embodying nice caliber and solid conducts.

Mei Liming urged the whole academy to keep making significant progress on advancing the education campaign with high standard and quality. We need to integrate our central work with the education campaign, integrate required actions with selective actions, and integrate the leading bodies taking roles and the others following.

The reading session deepens our understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; we will stick to our founding mission of fostering talent for and contributing wisdom to the Party; we will endeavor to make our contribution on fostering governance backbone for the national rejuvenation; we will take in-depth investigation and research, the other members of the leading bodies said.

It was unanimously agreed by the participants that they had a deeper understanding of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, resolutely upholding Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Central Committee’ authority and its centralized, unified leadership. We shall take solid action in the investigation and research with problems oriented, enhance our capabilities and sense of mission, and endeavor to make further progress of the academy work.
