The Executive Vice President of CELAJ Mei Liming was interviewed by China Media Group (CMG) on Mar. 2, and shared his thoughts on learning the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at a meeting marking the 90th anniversary of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and the opening ceremony of its 2023 spring semester. 

The important speech is encouraging and inspiring, Mei Liming said. Party schools should closely follow the needs of the Party and give full play to their strengths to cultivate officials needed by the CPC. Party schools must focus on the central task and serve the overall interests of the country. Party schools at all levels should stay committed to their founding mission and make new contributions to building a modern socialist country in all respects and advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

Party schools must align their thinking, political stance and action with the CPC Central Committee. Party school should also offer suggestions and proposals on major issues that the Party needs to study and address, and guide the participants to establish Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen our consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership, enhance our confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and resolutely uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Central Committee’ authority and its centralized, unified leadership. Pushing deep integration of theoretical education, party spirit education and capabilities nurturing, and make more outstanding achievements in cultivating high-calibre cadres shouldering the historic mission of national rejuvenation.
