In order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of founding of the People’s Republic of China, deeply study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and closely integrate the reality to promote the study of Mao Zedong's poetry, the academic seminar "Mao Zedong's Poetry and China's Socialist Construction" and the 2024 Annual Meeting of Mao Zedong’s Poetry Research Association were held in Shaoshan, Hunan province from December 12 to 14.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Jin, president of the Mao Zedong’s Poetry Research Association and former member of the Central Party History and Literature Research Institute, delivered a speech.  Wang Jianxin, vice president of Mao Zedong’s Poetry Research Association, vice president and first-level inspector of CELAJ, delivered a keynote report on "Interpretation of Mao Zedong's Poems Created after the Founding of the People’s Republic of China ".

Wang Jianxin reviewed the difficult exploration, great achievements and mental journey experienced by Mao Zedong in leading the Chinese people to carry out socialist revolution and construction, summarized the creation situation and main content of Mao Zedong’s poems created after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and discussed the basic principles that should be followed in the interpretation and appreciation of these poems. The report was widely praised by the participants.
