On Oct. 14^th, Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Vice-president of the PRC, made an inspection tour of CELAJ.

On Oct. 14th, comrade Xi Jinping, accompanied by Shen Yueyue, the Executive Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Su Rong, the Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee, Wu Xinxiong, the Deputy Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee and Governor of Jiangxi Province, He Yiting, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Chen Xiwen, the Director of the Office of the Party Central Committee's Leading Group for Country Work, and Wang Xiankui, the Deputy Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee and First Vice President of CELAJ, made an inspection tour of CELAJ. Xi and his party visited the school’s teaching and living facilities such as library, electronic reading room, lecture hall, classroom, dormitory and dining hall, etc., and had a picture taken with the leadership of CELAJ. During the inspection tour, comrade Xi made detailed inquiries about the school’s situation such as its development, the distribution of its teaching resources, the building of its teaching system and the building of the ranks of teachers, its teaching and research, its logistic support and management, etc. Li Xiaosan, the Executive Vice President of CELAJ, answered the questions one by one.

During the inspection, comrade Xi had a discussion with the leadership of CELAJ, heads of the departments and representatives from teachers. He also heard a report from Wang Xiankui, the Deputy Secretary of Jianxi Provincial Party Committee and the First Vice President of CELAJ, and delivered an important speech.

In his speech, comrade Xi fully confirmed CELAJ’s work in the past 5 years and expressed his hopes.

Comrade Xi emphasized that we must strengthen and improve our work in the spirit of reform and innovation, and further enhance the quality, efficiency and level of our cadre education and training. Reform and innovation is, Xi said, the general requirement raised in the Seventeenth National Party Congress for propelling the new great project of Party building, and is also a strong driving force in cadre education and training to keep its vigorous energy. Therefore, we should, as always, continue to emancipate our minds and keep pace with the times, and effectively carry forward and promote the spirit of reform and innovation, and exercise it in all fields of our work. In accordance with the requirements of the National Conference on Cadre Education and Training, we should, by carefully implementing the spirit of the Seventeenth Party Congress and deepening the study and practice of the Outlook of Scientific Development, continue to promote our pioneering spirit and open up new prospects for all our work, among which special efforts should be made to highlight our teaching characteristics and improve our training level.
