Li Yuanchao heartily shook hands with leaders of CELAJ

Li Yuanchao, member of  the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, secretary of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, minister of the Organization Department of the Central Committee, and the president of CELAP, CELAJ and CELAY, greeted all the staff and faculty members of CELAJ and expressed his best New Year’s wishes to all on an inspection tour of CELAJ on Dec. 30th, 2007. Wang Xiankui, deputy secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee, deputy director of the board, first vice president of CELAJ, and Li Xiaosan, executive vice president, accompanied and made reports.
　　
At 2:30 in the afternoon, Li Yuanchao arrived at CELAJ, and shook hands with each staff and faculty waiting at the academy gate, asking about their life and work.

At the hall of trainees` Building, when seeing the congratulatory letter to the three leadership academies from President Hu Jintao, Li said that he had studied the letter carefully. It is a big decision to set up the three leadership academies. It’s to meet the requirements of large-scale leadership training and great leadership quality improvement. The three academies should positively suit to the requirements proposed at the Sixteenth Party Congress, fully displaying the role of the academies in continuing leadership training.

Before the Distribution Map of CELAJ Teaching Resources, Li, looking at the map carefully, asked about the distribution, development and utilization of the teaching resources. “The Map is very good. We should make full use of our special teaching resources and form our own unique teaching content and teaching method, and ultimately form our own characteristics in leadership training. It should be open but not classroom-oriented.
　　
At the trainees` dormitory and cafeteria, Li asked in detail about the trainees` life and diet, showing his appreciation of the trainees` good living environment.

At the Exhibition Room of CELAJ, Li Yuanchao looked carefully at the exhibits reflecting the process of the academy construction and its running, and read carefully the captions. He said that the most important things now are to adhere to the principles of reform and innovation, exploring and deepening further the teaching content and method. Our teaching should bring the core of Jinggangshan Spirit to life, revealing its profound significance and driving home its points, therefore, to form our own characteristics and our own name brand of education of revolutionary tradition.

At the Electronic Reading Room, Li asked about the utilization of IT. He asked solicitously whether the network speed is quick enough, and whether the trainees can continue their study or not after returning to their work unit. When learning that CELAJ is building “Network Leadership Academy”, he said that it is a good idea to build a Network Leadership Academy. We should make full use of our resources!

During the inspection tour, Li also heard Li Xiaosan’s report on CELAJ and asked about the school’s teaching facilities, infrastructure and capacity, etc. He said that the school’s environment is very good, and the school’s building and running is effective. He encouraged all the faculties to educate and train our cadres constantly with Jinggangshan spirit, helping them develop a firm belief in socialism with Chinese characteristics, carry forward the revolutionary tradition of thrift and hard work, and form our own teaching characteristics and brand, performing an irreplaceable role in our leadership education and training system.
