President of CELAJ stresses importance of people-centered approach to work
The opening ceremony of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance)’s 2020 autumn semester was held in Beijing, on Sep. 1, 2020. CELAJ attended the ceremony via teleconference system simultaneously. Chen Xi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), president of CELAJ attended and addressed the ceremony.
Chen Xi, stressed the importance of officials upholding a people-centered approach to strive toward the people's aspirations to live better lives.
Leading officials should put the people first, rely on the people, work for the people's wellbeing, said Chen, adding that officials should be loyal servants to the people.
Chen also urged officials to maintain close ties with the people, and guard against bureaucratism in their work and the practice of formality for formality's sake.
The head of the organization department of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Province Liu Qiang, and the vice president in charge of the daily routine work of CELAJ Mei Liming attended the ceremony in parallel session. Related officials from the general office and the organization department of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Province, leading groups of CELAJ, the participants of three seminars at the academy, and the teaching staff, altogether 210 people attended the ceremony at the academy.
